Privacy notice
Short version: if you never sign in, we hold nothing about you. If you choose to sign in to your bet book, we keep your email address and your bets so they can follow you from your phone to your computer and back. We do not sell them, share them for advertising or use them for anything else.
Who we are
My Bet Calculator (mybetcalculator.co.uk) is run by Horse Racing Pro. For anything about your information, email help@mybetcalculator.co.uk.
If you do not sign in
The calculator and the bet book work on your own phone or computer. Your bets, your first name and your settings are kept in your browser and are never sent to us. We have no adverts, no tracking and no analytics, and the site sets no cookies of its own for visitors who do not sign in.
If you choose to sign in (optional)
What we keep:
- your email address;
- the bets in your bet book (horses, odds, stakes, results, your reasons for betting, dates and notes you typed). We ask you never to type bank, card or other private details into a note;
- a sign-in cookie on each phone or computer you sign in on (it holds a random code, nothing about you), so you stay signed in for up to 90 days;
- short-lived counts, with no email addresses in them, used only to stop anyone requesting thousands of sign-in emails.
Why: to sign you in and to keep your bet book safe and the same on your phone and your computer. That is all. The legal basis is that you asked for this service (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).
Who else handles it: Cloudflare stores the data and runs the service, and an email service sends your sign-in links. They act for us and may not use it for their own purposes. Your data may be processed outside the UK under the safeguards those companies provide.
How long: until you delete it. A bet you delete is removed from your phone and computer and its details are removed from our server straight away (only an empty marker is kept, so your other phones and computers learn it is gone). If you delete your account, everything on our server is removed immediately.
Your rights
- See or take your bets: use “Save a backup file” or “Save for Excel” on the bet book page.
- Delete everything: on the bet book page, under “Use my bet book on my phone and my computer”, choose More, then Delete my account. If you cannot, email us and we will do it.
- You can also ask us to correct your information, or complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) if you are unhappy with how we handle it.
Gambling
This is a record-keeping and calculation tool for adults (18+). It is not advice and does not take bets. If gambling is a problem for you or someone close to you, help is available from BeGambleAware.org.
